Today we sit down with one of the most controversial people in CSM. From the "eraser case" to being the top gun in CSM, you can't go to far in CSM without hearing the name SpiDevil. Love him, hate him, respect him or resent him, he is a force to be reckoned with in the game we love so dearly. I had a chance to catch up and ask him some questions about the CL, his plans for the future, the eraser case and more! Check it out!

SyN: Welcome SpiDevil! First off, tell us a little bit about yourself… where do you live.. how old you are.. your name… what you do… etc etc.

SpiDevil: Hello and thanks for the opportunity.
My name is Pedro, have 26 years old, live in Vila Real / Portugal, I am an amateur musician and I’ve just finish the university (yeah!!!).

SyN: Currently, you have won pretty much everything there is to win in this game over the past 4-5 months.. how does it feel to truly be on top?

SpiDevil: Feels good.

SyN: Before I’ve seen you state that people need to lighten up and take it easy.. that this is just a game. What exactly do you mean by that?

SpiDevil: I said that, because there are people that live for this game and can’t separate reality from a game. They’re stuck at the forum refreshing pages just to fight and fight, basically repeating everything again and again till they get forum banned or nagging all time in IRC about the same thing. All this about a game?
Hey! This is a GAME. “Make peace, not war!” You may feel as I do: build up many real friendships through a game, which I think it was impossible to fulfil.
Someday they’ll realize that there’s a real life outside the screen.

SyN: Turning our attention to this seasons CL, you have been placed in a group with what is considered to be the #2 team by most people in CSM. What affect do you think that will have on your strats as kirsch will get to see your strats for both maps? What if you meet again in the Finals as you have the past few seasons… will you have a little something extra for us?

SpiDevil: There’s one mistake on this question. I only met him in a final once. The games would be normal. There’s no pressure, at least to me since I don’t expect much from my 540 sp’s young player. He isn’t the only one at the group stage, so if I want to move trough I must face everyone with the same will.
My goal is to go as far as I can in every competition while I get my team younger.

SyN: Being a former admin and very active player within the game, it must frustrate you that we haven’t seen any major updates in quite sometime. Are you skeptic about the arrival of the new Developer or excited? What type of additions or updates would you like to see added to the game?

SpiDevil: Ofc it’s frustrating. The game became a routine. Nothing new, no challenges… But I was counting on that. SA’s are more away from the game month after month. So, that’s not new to me. About the Developer I face him as I face Benfica transfers: I only believe he’s going to exist after I see him working. So I am skeptic about him. I would like to see at least new maps and bugs fixed day by day, not “at the next sync”.

SyN: Now I couldn’t POSSIBLY interview you without bringing up the eraser case. It cost you your position as the most trusted GA+ on the team and shattered your rep throughout the entire community. Noone has given you a chance to really speak out and give your side of the story and I’d like to give that to you now, if you so choose.

SpiDevil: I saw this one coming and it doesn’t surprise me the question.
My side of the story is easy to tell: nice theories and good texts so those who don’t like to use their head can believe, but no proofs of anything, because nothing against the rules of CSM was made. That’s the truth while the story is a fantasy of some users about seeing me easily off their way.
Some people believe on that nice theory made over my crew, some don’t, but it only gave me more fun to play this game. Many transfers were made while I was part of the massive crew and at that time the “knights of justice” clapped my transfers (wonder why!).

Being removed of the team was the worst part of course, but the “eraser case” should be named itself as “SpiDevil case”, since as you can see on the prints leaked from the admin forum, it didn’t matter what others did. The same happened on the global forum. I was the one to be punished, since I am the one that give more headaches at the top competitions of CSM.
BUT, at the end, I have to thank admins for the removal. It does not worth the time I spent, or should I say LOST, on being an admin, when there’s admins that don’t even know what is to be an admin, nor either how to behave as a role model, when many admins are just there to make number, leak information, win some free coins, agree with what their friends say and try to push out the admins they don’t like. Puft. I am out of that field of fake hell now.
It isn’t everything bad, since I made some friends there too. I just want to name the real admins, the only admins that at my eyes are capable to perform their actions as it should be (from the time I spend with them and from some present actions): Conscript, chili, 1337, Helcaraxe, Apocalyptica, padim, Cadaz and Halvan.
CSM is still “adminingly healthy” due to them, although the “admin Head” is a bit inactive.

There are some huge flaws that I can’t understand.
It’s really funny to see that the work I made, creating the forum of massive cheaters case was hidden and re-hiden by some of our beloved admins. No one has done anything and let it go. Why? No guts to pass through a tough case again, or they are too influent that you are afraid of reprisals? You should not sleep at work!!!
I will add some new stuff soon, because users need to know the flaws of this game and how leaks go from some admins to that crew. Maybe that’s why banking/feeding/farming/money transfers/hidden limit transfers (sudo, heli, Cauchy)/etc passed away from “admin claws”.
This is CSM: traffic of influences.

To finish this question I will use a quote of some infamous person: “Some animals are more equals than others”. Guess you were quite right.

SyN: How do you feel about your shot in this seasons CL? Do you think kirsch may be able to take you or do you have enough to beat him yet again this season?

SpiDevil: Again kirsch? What makes him more important then matze-lala for instance, that was present in more finals than him? Is this a “let’s talk about kirsch again”, “let’s mention kirsch in all questions” or this is this a real interview?
You should learn to separate your crew from CSM-times.
I say and repeat: every opponent is equal at my eyes and I face them with the same will.
To end this question and if you really wanna know, there are managers I consider far more dangerous than him.

SyN: What future plans do you have for CSM? Will we see a rebuild or will you just continue to refresh your players and attempt to stay on top?

SpiDevil: Rebuild is something like saying out of question. I can’t say never, but I really doubt of it.
Nowadays I really don’t care much with CSM. The joy as long gone. It woke up during and a bit after the “SpiDevil case”, so I could shut up some mouths, but now (and again I repeat myself) the game became a routine.
So I can say that I may maintain in the game “youngering” my team till joy and fun are back again (if that’s really possible without a Developer).
